Richard D. Krueger

Funeral Director & Embalmer

Rich is a local graduate of the Cuba City High School and of Fox Valley College in Appleton, WI. He grew up in the funeral industry working with his dad and grandfather with operating the Haudenshield Ambulance Service, serving the tri-state area. He served for many years in law enforcement and the Shullsburg Fire Department and Rescue Squad.

He met his wife Janet and married April 30, 1977 and had two daughters, Lynne & Jillian. Janet helps with office duties at the funeral home. He was a second generation to attended Worsham College of Mortuary Science in the Chicago, IL area. He was elected class officer and during graduation ceremonies was a recipient of the Alexander J. Ptak Memorial Award (presented to the student demonstrating an unwavering professional attitude and behavior through the year and is selected by the faculty).

He is a member of the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association, Southwest Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association and Funeral Ethics Association. He is a member of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church; served on the Parish Council and as Council President, Knights of Columbus and taught as a religion instructor at St. Francis de Sales and the Hazel Green Lions Club.

He enjoys antique cars, antiques, traveling and restoring old gas pumps and other gas station memorabilia.

Jillian L. Krueger

Funeral Director & Embalmer

Jill is a local graduate from Southwestern High School in Hazel Green, WI in 2000. She attended Capri College of Cosmetology and graduated at the top of her class in 2001. She holds a manager's license in the State of Wisconsin for Barbering and Cosmetology.

She then pursued her education at University of Wisconsin-Platteville and Southwest Vocational College making the Dean’s list. She spent one full year at a the prestigious mortuary college, Worsham College of Mortuary Science in Wheeling, IL, the same school her grandfather and father attended, becoming a fourth generation Funeral Director and Embalmer with Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory.

She is a member of the National Morticians Fraternity, Pi Sigma Eta, the American Society of Embalmers, Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association, the Southwest Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association and the Iowa Funeral Directors Association. Jill had perfect attendance and was recipient to a scholarship from the Wisconsin Funeral Directors Past Presidents Award, and on graduation night received the Jack Adams Dodge Award, presented to the student who achieves the highest combined average in Restorative Art and Embalming Laboratories, as well as an “Associate Degree in Applied Science” in 2008.

She enjoys spending time with her family, pets & friends, the outdoors, car shows, going to Lambeau Field to cheer on the Green Bay Packers, locally supporting the Dubuque Fighting Saints hockey team in Dubuque, IA and area high school sports teams.

She is the President of the Cuba City Chamber of Commerce (2022-Present), Vice President of the Cuba City Lioness Club (2022-2023), President of the Cuba City Lioness Club (2023-2024), Past President of the Cuba City Lioness Club (2024-2025), Vice President of the Southwest Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association (2021-2025) and President of the Southwest Wisconsin Funeral Directors Association (2025-Present).
