William "Bill" "Goldy" J. Goldthorpe, 65, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at a later date. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Goldy was born on August 22, 1960 to Rex & Rosemary (Bauer) Goldthorpe in Cuba City, WI. He was a graduate from Cuba City High School and attended classes at UW-Platteville. He worked for over 29 years as a clerk for the United States Post Office, retiring in 2019.

Goldy enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, golfing, and an avid Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and Milwaukee Brewers fan. He had a great passion for music and played in various local bands throughout the years, such as, Chambermaid, Snidely Whiplash, Tangent, Rypt, Aquatic Hitchhikers, and even with his brother, Rick in the band "And That Too". But most of all, he enjoyed time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Goldy is survived by his sister, Cindy (Bob) Fishler & his brother, Rick (Ellen) Goldthorpe both of Cuba City, WI; a sister-in-law, Cindy Goldthorpe; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Bob Goldthorpe, a brother-in-law, Bob "Porky" Ferrin, and 2 nephews: Tom & Tim Ferrin.

In lieu of plants & flowers, a William "Bill" "Goldy" J. Goldthorpe Memorial Fund has been established.
