Warren A. Reiser, 87, of Belmont, WI passed away peacefully on Monday, December 2, 2024 at Monroe Clinic Hospital in Monroe, WI. A memorial service with military honors accorded will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 11:00 a.m. at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI, with Pastor Gus Barnes officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Family and friends may call on Saturday, December 14th from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.
Warren was born on August 27, 1937 to Everett & Della (Tessmer) Reiser in Dresden Township in Chickasaw County, Iowa. He attended a one room school house and was a graduate from Fredericksburg High School in 1956 and then attended 2 years at the University of Iowa College. After serving in the US Army, he worked a variety of jobs, from driving milk trucks, to owning and operating a local cheese store in Belmont, WI and later worked as a rural letter carrier for the United States Post Office. On December 2, 2000, he married Jo Ann (Steege) Bloem at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA. Warren was a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association and enjoyed collecting model tractors, an Iowa Hawkeyes fan, loved music and watching the ION Channel & tv show NCIS. He really enjoyed time spent at the Platteville Senior Center and playing many hands of cards with his friends there, but most of all, Warren enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Warren is survived by a niece, Geraldine "Gerri" Suhr of Sevierville, TN; 3 nephews: Keith (Lanet) Suhr and Edward (Lavonne) Suhr, both of Fredericksburg, IA & Everett (Trudy Fritcher) Suhr of New Hampton, IA; neighbors: Andy, Diane and Jerry; along with great nieces, nephew and a great-great nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jo Ann (November 5, 2011) and a sister, Peggy Reiser (Marvin) Suhr.
In lieu of plants & flowers, a Warren A. Reiser Memorial Fund has been established.
