Verna "Jeanne" J. Lux, 71, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025 at Edenbrook Care Facility in Platteville, WI with her family by her side. A private family service will be held at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI. A private family burial will be held at a later date. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Jeanne was born on May 3, 1953 to Vernon & Dorothy (Pleumer) Richard in Kieler, WI. She attended Immaculate Conception Catholic Grade School and graduated from Wahlert High School in Dubuque, IA. Jeanne married Gary J. Lux on November 4, 1972 in Kieler, WI. She was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City, WI. She proudly served on the Cuba City Area Rescue Squad for many years. Jeanne enjoyed music, working on the family farm with Gary and was very proud of her kids and grandkids. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jeanne is survived by her devoted husband of 52 years, Gary; 2 sons: Tony Lux of Cuba City, WI & Todd (Julie) Lux of Tomball, TX; a daughter: Ann (Keri) Ford of Cypress, TX; 6 grandchildren: Will, Reagan, R.J., Kennedy, Harper & Holden; her mother: Dorothy Richard of Cuba City, WI; brother: Bill Richard of Platteville, WI; along with cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Richard, father-in-law & mother-in-law, James & Alice Lux, and a sister-in-law, Lynn Richard.

In lieu of plants & flowers, a Verna "Jeanne" J. Lux Memorial Fund has been established.
