Stanley "Stan" Charles Lee, 83, of Hazel Green passed away on Thursday October 26, 2023, at Skaalen Heritage Center in Stoughton, WI. A private family service will be held. The Haudenshield Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.

Stan was born June 15, 1940, in Elk Grove Township, the son of Charles and Olive (Lowe) Lee. He married Ellyn (Bohn) Lee on August 19, 1961. Together, they raised three children: Richard, Jayne, and Duane. Stan spent his career working at John Deere. He was employed for thirty-seven years at the Dubuque factory retiring August 31, 1997.

Retirement years were spent mowing the yards of friends and the local United Methodist church. He and Ellyn also spent time in Branson Missouri taking yearly trips until the travel became too much. Stan was an avid race car fan. Friday nights were often spent at Farley Speedway. He was lucky to attend a few NASCAR races in North Carolina. Being at the racetrack was one of his happy places.

Stan and family enjoyed traveling to Arizona to see his brother and many nieces and nephews. His least favorite time of these trips was driving through the larger cities to reach Phoenix. The kids were always told to "sit there and be quiet" during peak traffic hours.

Stan is survived by his wife Ellyn, and three children: Richard (Cathy) of Hickory, North Carolina, Jayne (Randy) of McFarland, Wisconsin, and Duane (Tammy) of Janesville, Wisconsin and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.

Dad, may you clock in one last time at the factory for your shift.
