Sonseeahray, 75, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at home. Per her wishes, there will be no services. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Sonseeahray was born on September 18, 1948 to Leland & Margie (Horn) Simmons in Booneville, MS. She worked for many years as a nurse at nursing homes. Sonseeahray loved gardening, flowers, animals, traveling with Bob on the Harley Davidson motorcycle, but most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sonseeahray is survived by her life partner of 40 years, Bob Baier; a son, Mark (Holly) Gholston of Iron River, MI; a daughter, Tracy (Doyle) John of Wake Forest, NC; 2 grandsons: Zachary Gholston of Edgerton, WI and Cody Gholston of St. Germain, WI; a granddaughter, Remington John of Wake Forest, NC; 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, Billie Simmons of Persia, TN; and her beloved cat, Chessie.

She was preceded in death by parent and a sister-in-law, Dot.

In lieu of plants & flowers a Sonseeahray Memorial Fund has been established.
