Roselyn M. Bruun, 91, of Shullsburg, WI passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, September 11th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, IL; with Pastor Gus Barnes officiating. Burial will follow at the Scales Mound Township Cemetery in Scales Mound, IL. Family & friends may call on Friday September 11th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.
Roselyn was born on January 6, 1935 to Michael & Catherine (Greenwald) Thiltgen. She graduated from Shullsburg High School 1953. She married Norman L. Bruun on June 9, 1954 in Galena, IL. Together they raised a family & worked on their dairy farm. Roselyn enjoyed crocheting, reading, gardening, old country music, family reunions, a hot game of euchre, but most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Roselyn is survived by 3 daughters: Diane Hook of Shullsburg, WI; Penny (John Schneider) Boyle of Darlington, WI & Karen Clemons of Platteville, WI, 2 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, with one on the way; a sister, Emily Whitman; a sister-in-law, Jeanette Podnar; along by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norman (1993), a son, Roy (1996), 3 brothers: Vince (Mary), Earl (Carol) & Emmett; and a son-in-law, Lenny Hook.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Shullsburg EMT’s, the nurses and doctors at Lafayette Hospital in Darlington, WI, and to Tom Reilly for your kindness and caring for our mother these past few months & days. Thank you ~ Diane, Karen & Penny
