Obituary

Robert "Bob" W. Ostrander, 81, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Tuesday October 5, 2010 at Mercy Medical Center in Dubuque, IA. Services will be at 11am on Friday October 8, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Cuba City, WI with Pastor Debbie Pimm officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cuba City, WI with military rites accorded. Friends may call on Thursday October 7, 2010 from 4-8pm at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI and on Friday from 10am till time of service at the church.

Bob was born on February 11, 1929 in Bagley, WI to Robert and Krete (Strong) Ostrander. He married Betty Brewer on March 29, 1951 in Madison, WI. Bob graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Physics and a minor in Dairy Science from the University of Wisconsin Platteville in June of 1957. Prior to college, Bob served in the US Air Force during the Korean War where he was stationed in Korea and Japan. After graduation at UW Platteville, Bob worked for Moormon Feeds. In the early sixties, Bob was a part of Don and Bob's Feed Service in Cuba City. Bob ended his working career as a Regional Sales Manager with Doboy Feed Company (Domain Industries) of New Richmond, WI.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Betty Ostrander of 59 years; 4 children: Darcy (Robert) DeKeyser of Green Bay, WI, Dayna (Steve) Wilberding of Cuba City, WI, Robert (Franczeska) Ostrander of Union Grove, WI, and Shawn (Spike) Hammill of Cuba City, WI; 12 grandchildren: Nicole (DeKeyser) Huntley, Jessica (DeKeyser) Olp, Michael Wilberding, Brian DeKeyser, Jaci Hammill, Sarah Ostrander, Tori Hammill, Mathew Vail, Claire Ostrander, Ethan Hammill, Ryan Vail, Robert Ostrander; 4 great-grandchildren: Dylan Olp, Kailyn Huntley, Owen Huntley, Lauren Olp; a sister, Cleone Brewer of Cuba City and family friend Michael Vail of Cuba City, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew Bruce Brewer, and a granddaughter Jami Lynn Wilberding.

In lieu of flowers a Robert W. Ostrander Memorial Fund has been established.
