Robert "Bob" J. Dreessens, 59 of Dodgeville, WI, formerly of Cuba City, WI passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Upland Hills Health, Dodgeville, WI. A memorial service will be held at 12pm on Saturday, February 11 at the Cuba City's VFW Post 8318, where military rites will be accorded by VFW Post 8318. Burial will be at St. Rose Cemetery in Cuba City, WI. Friends may call from 11am till time of service at the VFW Post. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Bob was born on January 31, 1953 to John & Priscilla (Hoff) Dreessens in Dubuque, IA. He attended St. Rose Grade School and Cuba City High School. He enlisted in the US Marine Corp in 1971-1974. He married Peggy Rose Becker on July 30, 1982 in Darlington, WI. He worked for 10 years at LandsEnd as an embroidery assistant. Bob loved his Green Bay Packers, fishing, eagles and was very patriotic. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Bob is survived by his wife of 29 years, Peggy; two sons: Casey Ness of IL and Bobby Dreessens of Platteville, IL; a daughter, Nikki Dreessens of Mineral Point, WI; and 2 special grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Shawn and a nephew, Joey Dreessens. In lieu of flowers a Robert J. Dreessens Memorial Fund has been established.
