KIELER, WI - Robert W. Derrickson, 75, of Kieler, WI passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Sunday, September 20, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. A memorial gathering will be held at 1pm on Saturday, Sept. 26th at Gooch's Greenhouse in Kieler, WI. A private family burial will be held at a later date. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Robert was born on May 21, 1940 to Melvin & Maytha (Smith) Derrickson in Estherville, IA. He married Judy A. Kos on February 25, 1961 in Estherville, IA. He worked for over 12 years at LandsEnd as a sales representative in Dodgeville, WI. Robert was a member of the Cuba City Lions Club, Toast Masters and Saratoma Club (Service to Mankind). He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Judy; his son, Jeff (Tammy) Derrickson of Monroe, WI; 4 grandchildren: Sarah (Kevin) Koeppen, Amanda (Kyle) Ohlrich, Hannah Derrickson and Isaac Derrickson and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Brenda Lee Derrickson (June 18, 2015). The family of Robert was deeply honored and humbled by all the support and prayers shown over the past months. Thank you also to the Dickeyville Rescue Squad and all the great care from Hospice of Dubuque staff. In lieu of flowers a Robert W. Derrickson Memorial Fund has established.
