Richard "Dick" H. Roling, 70, of Shullsburg, WI, formerly of Cuba City, WI passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Lafayette Manor in Darlington, WI. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27th at Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI, with Fr. Peter John Lee officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date at St. Mary's Cemetery in Galena, IL. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Dick was born on December 21, 1953 to Melvin & Maleta (Pfohl) Roling in Hazel Green, WI. He was a graduate of Belmont High School. He grew up on the family farm on St. Peters Road near Cuba City, WI and for the past 15 years resided in Shullsburg, WI. He was a member of St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Shullsburg, WI. Thanks to Dick, Grandma was able to spend time with her children and grandchildren, by making sure she attended family gatherings & events. He would help her with anything she needed and checked on her daily. Dick enjoyed visiting with people, helping others, classic country music, and watching the Green Bay Packers, but most of all he enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dick is survived by 2 sons: Jason (Kerri) Roling of Texas & Marcus (Donna) Roling of Arkansas; 5 grandchildren: Spencer, Elliette, Daytona, Ryan & Utopia; sister, Pam (Bill) Shomler; 2 brothers-in-law: Tony Hughes & Willie Wise; sister-in-law, Joyce Roling; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: Donnie Roling & David Roling; 4 sisters: Shirley Hughes, Pat Olson, Donna Jean (Dave) Seng & Juanita Roling; a granddaughter, Shelby Roling; and special friends, LaVerne Sokolowski and Janice Burris. In lieu of plants & flowers a Richard "Dick" H. Roling Memorial Fund has been established.

The family would like to thank the staff at Darlington Manor for their care and concern before and during Dick's stay. Also, a special thank you to his friends at his Shullsburg apartment complex.
