Paul W. Burbach, 88, of Dickeyville, WI, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, June 8th at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dickeyville, WI, with Fr. Greg Ihm officiating. Burial will be held in Holy Ghost Church Cemetery in Dickeyville, WI. Family and friends may call on Monday, June 8th from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dickeyville, WI. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.
Paul was born on February 27, 1938 to Frank & Josephine (Pickel) Burbach. He met the love of his life, Mary Ann Hilby, at the Dominic Club. They were married on October 11, 1980 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dubuque, IA. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Paul worked for various trucking companies as an independent truck driver in his "Ferdie the friendly Freightliner". Paul enjoyed traveling cross country with Mary Ann, dining out (frequent flyers to Daniel's Lounge & Millie's Café), but most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Paul is survived by 3 in-laws: Ione Turman, Joan Hilby & Jack (Rose) Hilby; along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann (January 29, 2026), his parents, 2 brothers: Merlin (Elsie) Burbach & John (Dorothy) Burbach, parents-in-law, Emil & Florence (Welp) Hilby, and 6 in-laws: Robert Hilby, Doris (LaVern) Kuhle, Sr. Carol Hilby OSF, Mark Hilby, Margie (Bill) Burroughs and Ralph Turman.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff & nurses of Stonehill Care Center and to Hospice of Dubuque, for the care they gave to Paul & his family.
In lieu of plants & flowers, a Paul W. Burbach Memorial Fund has been established.
