Obituary

Michael S. "Wulf" Clifton, 67, of Elizabeth, IL passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, IA. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI. Burial in the Davenport Memorial Cemetery will be held at a later date. Friends may call on Thursday, August 27th from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Mike was born on November 29, 1947 to Gwendyln Conn in Davenport, IA. He met his wife Christina in 1994 and married in 2001. He worked for Pinkerton Security and later for John Deere security in Davenport, IA. Mike also worked for the Genesis Hospital Security and for Diamond Jo Casino in their security department at the boat and the new casino. He and Tina loved traveling to Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Peru, Galapagos Islands, St. Petersburg and Moscow and Scotland and Ireland. He enjoyed reading and was into syfy. He was a true history buff and an avid gun collector. He was an expert at military/gun shows; along with WWII memorabilia. He also had a great love for his 4 dogs, Cassie, Basil, Reggie & Duchess; they will miss him greatly. Mike was an entrepreneur; he along with his wife opened up Dr. Woodchucks Auction House in Scales Mound, IL in 2005. He also opened up Wulf-Mart in Elizabeth, IL, selling items from store close outs. He was an avid supporter of Planetary Studies Foundation in Elizabeth, IL. Mike enjoyed meeting people; he found a friend in everyone he met and was a great storyteller. In his early years, Mike was a member of the Grim Reaper Motorcycle Club and was a Union Steward for Caterpillar in the Quad Cities, IA. Mike is survived by his wife, Tina, of Elizabeth, IL; a half-brother, Ron Ash of Lead, AR; along with nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, and his father whom he never met. In lieu of flowers a Michael S. "Wulf" Clifton Memorial Fund has been established.
