Michael J. "Mike" Baumann, 69, of Platteville, WI, formerly of Cuba City, WI, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 26th at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City, WI, with Fr. David Flanagan officiating. Burial with military honors accorded will be in the St. Rose of Lima Church Cemetery in Cuba City, WI. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Mike was born on October 28, 1954 to Joseph & Mary (Weydert) Baumann in Dubuque, IA. He was a graduate of Wahlert High School and enlisted in the US Army for 3 years, followed by the US Navy for 16 years. After retiring from the Navy, he continued his civil service as a supervisor for the EPA for many years. Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, trips to Yellowstone, going to the shooting range, and was a practical jokester. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mike is survived by his 3 children: Jenny (Dan) Grzenia of Carlsbad, CA; Vanessa (Randy) Rosales of Dallas, TX; and Christopher (Kate) Baumann of Portland, OR; a granddaughter, Leilani Grzenia; 4 siblings: Cathy (Rick) Stender of Denver, CO; Anthony (Jolene) Baumann of Cuba City, WI; Thomas (Vicki) Baumann of Potosi, WI; and Timothy (Sue) Baumann of Beaver Dam, WI; along with many nieces, nephews and great-nieces & great-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Baumann.
