Maxine K. Hillary, 84, of Hazel Green, WI was called home February 4, 2016, at the Mercy Hospital following an extended illness.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 8th at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Hazel Green, WI with Father Ken Frisch officiating. Burial will be in the St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Hazel Green, WI. Family and friends may call on Sunday, February 7th from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the
Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services
in Cuba City, WI and on Monday, February 8th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Hazel Green, WI.
Maxine was born on December 9, 1931 to Clayton & Beatrice (Fitzgerald) Redfern in New Diggings, WI. She
attended New Diggings Schools, graduating with the New Diggings High School class of 1949.
She was a devoted member of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church of Hazel Green.
She was a homemaker most of her life proudly raising seven children and spending special times with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Maxine loved to play cards and go to the Casino plus rooting her favorite teams the Packers, Badgers and Brewers.
She was a gracious hostess and was generous to all who needed her assistance.
Maxine will be sadly missed by her 4 sons: Dave (Sandy), Chuck (Cindy), Joe (Linda), Randy (Heidi); 3 daughters: Marlene, Shelley (Jim) Gleason, Kelly (Tim) Summers; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a brother: Gene (Vadya) Redfern; 3 sisters-in-law: Shirley Puls, Doreen Redfern and Jane Redfern; and her loving dog, Tescha.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers: Paul, George and Gerald Redfern and granddaughter, Kristen Summers.
In lieu of flowers a Maxine K. Hillary Memorial Fund has been established.
The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Mercy Hospital for their excellent care.
