Marie H. Cummins, 97, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at St. Dominic Villa in Sinsinawa, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 25th at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City, WI, with Fr. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Cuba City, WI. Family and friends may call on Friday, November 24th from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI; also, on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 10:15am at the funeral home. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Marie was born on April 23, 1926 to Fred & Ceceila (Roling) Heim in Platteville, WI. She married Francis C. Cummins on May 14, 1946 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Cuba City, WI. She worked at Cuba City Elementary School as a cook for many years. She volunteered along with her identical twin sister, Marita, at the Cuba City Nursing Home and the Cuba City Meal Site for many years. She was a faithful, lifetime member of St. Rose Parish. Mom enjoyed sewing & mending for others all over the tri-state area. Mom loved traveling with her daughters on many enjoyable trips, culminating in a trip to Hawaii for her 90th birthday to visit Pearl Harbor. She was so proud to participate at the Cassville Twin-O-Rama on numerous occasions and she & Marita won numerous years. But most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved her. Mom, you were the most wonderful mother and we will miss you dearly.

Marie is survived by her 5 children: Vicki (Tom) Kilkelly of Belleview, FL, Connie (Dave) Klein of The Villages, FL, Pam (Mike) Schramm of Kieler, WI, Trish (Dan) Ramaker and Lori (Ron) Wallenhorst both of Cuba City, WI; a daughter-in-law, Sally Cummins of Cuba City, WI; 17 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and another one due in November; her twin sister, Marita Cummins; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Francis (1999) and a son, Greg (2019), 4 brothers: Wilbert (Alice & Velma) Heim, Arthur (Eleanor) Heim, Delmar (Lorraine) Heim & Ervin (Catherine) Heim and a brother-in-law, Keith Cummins.

The family would like to thank St. Dominic Villa for the wonderful care & compassion shown to mom and her family.
