M. Ann Eckel passed in peace on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the age of 88. A private family service will be held at a later date. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Ann was born March 21, 1937 to Frank & Marie (Listak) Collier. She married John D. Eckel on September 2, 1961. He preceded her in death on November 28, 2024.

She was a member of the Hazel Green Rescue Squad & Dickeyville Rescue Squad for many years.

She is survived by her sons: Bret of Platteville, WI, Kal (Tammy) of Fort Worth, TX, & Jim (Brenda) of McFarland, WI; her grandchildren: Matthew (Sally) of Albuquerque, NM & Emma (Mathew) of Rossville, IN; 3 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Frank (Jan) Collier of Gold Canyon, AZ.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Stonehill Care Facility and hospice personnel for their kindness, loving care and friendship provided to Ann's family.

In lieu of plants & flowers, memorials may be sent to the family where they will be given in support of the Stonehill Nursing Scholarship Fund.
