LeRoy J. Jerrett, 76, of Platteville, WI, formerly of Hazel Green, WI went to see his Lord on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at Trinity Medical Center in Rock Island, IL. Services will be 10:30am on Wednesday November 24, 2010 at the United Methodist Church in Hazel Green, WI, with Pastor Ed Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Hazel Green Cemetery in Hazel Green, WI. Friends may call from 9am till time of service at the church on Wednesday. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family. LeRoy was born on January 10, 1934 to Orime and Morna (Loney) Jerrett in Mt. Ida, WI. He married Phyllis Schuller on October 2, 1955 at the Methodist Church in Fennimore, WI. He worked at John Deere for 32 years. LeRoy and Phyllis loved to travel, but he always had time for his family and friends. You could always go to him and talk. He was a good listener. LeRoy is survived by his wife Phyllis, one son, Randy (Dawn) Jerrett of Hazel Green, WI and one daughter, Nancy (Charles) Edge of Shullsburg, WI; three grandsons, Terry (Jennifer) Edge, Matthew (Shelly) Edge, Mike (special friend Sara Jach) Edge all of Shullsburg, WI; one granddaughter Ashleigh Jerrett of Hazel Green,WI; two great-grandsons, Brayden Knox of Cuba City, WI and Eli Edge of Shullsburg, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Donald, one daughter Jeannie Lynn; and one granddaughter Julie Edge. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association. In lieu of flowers a LeRoy J. Jerrett Memorial Fund has been established.
