Lenore M. Wimmer, 78, of Cuba City, WI and Key Largo, FL passed away on February 10, 2022. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 18 ^th at Faith Lutheran Church in Cuba City, WI with Pastor Gus Barnes officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Cuba City, WI. Family and friends may call from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17 ^th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI; also on Saturday, June 18 ^th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Lenore was born on June 15, 1943 to Leonard & Anne (Endrizzi) Franson in Stevens Point, WI. She married William "Bill" Wimmer on August 29, 1964 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Madison, WI. Lenore had many roles: wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, banker, parishioner, and more. But mostly, she was a loyal and forgiving friend. She formed lifelong friendships everywhere she went, from classmates in her hometown of Stevens Point to her bridge card club in Cuba City to her water aerobics pals in Key Largo to the evening beach walking crew in New Port Richey to making travel buddies with people she met on a cruise. Lenore built lasting relationships in every church she regularly attended. Lenore was there if you needed a scout leader, help with a band fundraiser bake sale, a church event volunteer, or a sympathetic ear. Her smile and quick wit were with her to the end, along with her desire to care for everyone.

She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Bill Wimmer; 3 children: Mark (Jessica)Wimmer, Wendy (Bruce) Bunnell & Matt Wimmer; 4 grandchildren: Jessica Citron, Will Bunnell, Leo Bunnell & Luke Wimmer; her sister, Karen Zinda, along with many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard & Anne (Endrizzi) Franson.
