Obituary

Leland "Lee" P. Weber, 82, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 1st at the United Methodist Church in Cuba City, WI. Burial with military honors accorded will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Cuba City, WI. Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31st at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI; also on Thursday, August 1st from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the United Methodist Church in Cuba City, WI. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Lee was born on February 15, 1942 to Otto & Olive (Gill) Weber in Cuba City, WI. He was a graduate from Cuba City High School and was an Army National Guard veteran. He married Lynda McGuire on September 4, 1993. He was a co-owner with his brothers, Reg, Norm & David "Tiny" and worked for many years at Weber Meat Processing in Cuba City, WI until his retirement on October 10, 2010. He was a member of the American Legion Henry Pinch Post #104 in Cuba City, WI, the Cuba City United Methodist Church and one of the founding members of the Cuba City Jaycees.

Lee enjoyed serving on City Council for 31 years, Mayor of Cuba City for 2 terms, taking care of the landscaping around his home, but most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Lee is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Lynda; 5 children: Scott (fiancée, Kathy) Weis of Maple Grove, MN,  Otto (Jen) Weber of Cuba City, WI, Holly (Jim) Kraus of Dardenne Prairie, MO, Mandy (Bill) Whitaker of Potosi, WI and Ryan (Nora) Vickerman of Ocala, FL; 11 grandchildren: Heather (Paul) Hamilos, Mitchell (Bethany) Kraus, Alex (Ashley) Kraus, Evan (Rebecca) Kraus, Peyton Kraus, Lexie (Jase) Whitaker, Vince Whitaker, Pierce Whitaker, Grant Vickerman, Zach Vickerman and Austin Weber; 6 great-grandchildren: Liam, Parker, Apollo, Patrick and 2 babies on the way; 2 brothers: Norm (Jeanette) Weber and Lon Weber; 4 sisters-in-law, Carol Weber, Marge (Gil) Pierick, Jean (Mike) Popp & Jean McGuire; 5 brothers-in-law, Bill Hamilton, Vern Faber, Pat (Pat) McGuire, Don (Pat) McGuire and Dan McGuire; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 siblings: John (Dorothy) Weber, Marsha Hamilton, Reginald "Reg" Weber and David "Tiny" Weber; 2 sisters-in-law, Judy Weber and Donna Faber, and 2 brothers-in-law, Tom (Jean) McGuire & Jim McGuire and a nephew, Craig Weber.

In lieu of plants & flowers, a Leland "Lee" P. Weber Memorial Fund has been established.
