Leah "Rosie" Kruser, 80, of Hazel Green, WI passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque, IA. Services will be at 10:30am on Wednesday, April 1st at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Hazel Green, WI with Father Kenneth Frisch officiating. Burial will be in the St. Francis de Sales Church Cemetery, Hazel Green, WI. Friends may call on Tuesday, March 31st from 3pm-8pm at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI with a parish wake service at 2:45pm. Friends may also call on Wednesday, April 1st from 9:30am until time of service at the church. Rosie was born on June 22, 1934 to Ray & Marie (Seeley) Berg in Dubuque, IA. She married Dan Kruser on February 15, 1958 at St. Columbkille's Church in Dubuque, IA. Together Dan & Rosie farmed and then she worked at Fendall in Platteville, WI. After working at Fendall, Dan & Rosie bought the Wigwam Bar & Grill and ran that for many years until retirement. Rosie was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in, the Grant Iowa Tavern League and the Woman's Auxiliary with the Hazel Green Fire Department. She was an avid fan of the Wisconsin Badgers, Chicago Cubs and always ready to cheer on the Green Bay Packers with her Packers horn in hand. Rosie enjoyed reading, going to her cabin in Bagley, WI, an avid card player, her assortment of "hats", but most off all time spent with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Rosie is survived by 3 daughters: Tammy Arrington of Phoenix, AZ, Jean (Jim) Kaiser of Galena, IL and Sara (Brian Wills) Grindey of Hazel Green, WI; 4 sons: Daniel (Vickie) Kruser of Barneveld, WI, Scott (Amy) Kruser, Andy Kruser & Doug Kruser all of Hazel Green, WI; a daughter-in-law, Becky Kruser of Darlington, WI; 3 sisters: Betty Lange, Lynn Willett both of Dubuque, IA and Caroline "Timmy" Grotegut of Bettendorf, IA; 2 brothers: Donald (Donna) Berg of East Dubuque, IL and Joseph (Pat) Berg of Rockford, IL; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Dan (Nov. 10, 2004), an infant daughter Julie, a son, Mike Kruser (Aug. 16, 2008) and a grandson, Jesse Grindey (March 12, 2012). In lieu of flowers a Leah "Rosie" Kruser Memorial Fund has been established. The Kruser Family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Dubuque, especially Jennifer, to Dr. Konz & Cherie and the staff at Stonehilll Care Center for the kindness and compassion shown to Rosie and her family.
