Kenneth S. Stappert SR, 92, of Lancaster, WI formerly of Cassville, WI and Old Bridge, NJ passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Lancaster, WI. Private family services will be held at a later date in Old Bridge, NJ. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Ken was born on March 25, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY to Albert & Elizabeth (Hoffman) Stappert. He married Maxie L. Cargle on July 5th 1943. He worked for General Motors Automobile Plant in Linden, New Jersey as an assembler. He was a US Army WWII Veteran with the rank of Staff Sergeant. Ken enjoyed the outdoors and traveling, but most of all he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Ken is survived by his children, 2 daughters: Janet (Roger) Ott of Freehold, NJ and Joyce (Ken) Lacey of Sussex, NJ; 2 sons: Kenneth "Butch" (Judy) Stappert Jr. of Cassville, WI and Harvey (Phyllis) Stappert of Jackson, NJ; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Maxie (June 17, 1997. In lieu of flowers a Kenneth S. Stappert Sr. Memorial Fund has been established.
