Obituary

Kenneth E. Jentz, Sr., 82, of Dickeyville, WI passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. A memorial service with military honors accorded will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 26th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI, with Fr. David Flanagan officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Family and friends may call on Sunday, July 26th from 12:00 p.m. (NOON) until the time of service at the funeral home. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Ken was born on November 21, 1943 to Clarence & Daisy (Mohlmann) Jentz in Dodgeville, WI. He was a US Army veteran, and served during Vietnam War from 1964-1967. After his honorable discharge, he married Patricia Ann Melssen on August 23, 1969 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dickeyville, WI. He worked for over 30 years at John Deere Dubuque Works until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church, VFW Post 6455 Riemenapp-Averkamp in Dickeyville, WI, and the UAW Local 94 in Dubuque, IA. Ken enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating, playing his guitar & singing, an avid card player, and traveling around in the motorhome with Pat; but most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Ken is survived by his wife, Pat; 3 children: Ronald (Dianne) Jentz, Julie Jentz & Kenneth (Carrie) Jentz Jr.; 6 grandchildren: Courtney, Austin (Alexis), Natalie, Carlie, Lucas & Kevin; 2 sisters: Helene (Jack) Bennett & Donna Weires; along by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson, Logan Mau, 5 siblings: infant sister, Eleanor Jentz, R. Darlene Chapman, Roger "Payday" Jentz Sr., Clarence Jentz Jr. & Ronald Jentz; 2 brothers-in-law, Sonny Weires & Gary Chapman, a sister-in-law, Judy Jentz, and a special niece, Kandy Brouchoud.

In lieu of plants & flowers, a Kenneth E. Jentz, Sr. Memorial Fund has been established.
