Kelly J. Custer, 69, of Platteville, WI, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 25th at Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI, with Pastor Gus Barnes officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Family & friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service on Friday, April 25th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI.

Kelly was born on January 16, 1956 to Dean & Erlene (Magdefrau) Custer in Bassett, NE. He was a graduate from Platteville High School. He worked for the City of Platteville for 31 years in the Water & Sewer Dept. and was a member of the Boilermaker Union.

Kelly enjoyed fishing, golfing, music, history, but most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Kelly is survived by his daughter, Shannon (Logan) Huber of Platteville, WI; a granddaughter, Kenzie Teutschmann; 3 siblings: Patricia (Doug) Schramm, Bev Kettler & Perry (Kim) Custer; mother of his daughter, Glenda Jessen; 2 sisters-in-law: Deb & Andy; along with many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jerre Custer, a brother-in-law, Wayne Kettler, and a great-nephew, Cadillac Custer.

In lieu of plants & flowers, a Kelly J. Custer Memorial Fund has been established.
