Kathleen R. "Kate" Cole, 87, of Hazel Green, WI passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Hyland Park Assisted Living in Fitchburg, WI. Services will be at 11am on Saturday, June 1st at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Hazel Green, WI with Father Lance Schneider officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Saturday from 9am until time of services at the church. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Kate was born on June 19, 1925 to Albert & Rosa (Brant) Runde in Hazel Green, WI. She married Melburn "Lefty" J. Cole on August 23, 1949 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Hazel Green, WI. She worked as a CNA at the Hazel Green Hospital and the Cuba City Nursing Home. She lived on the family farm for 50 yrs. where she was happiest riding around on her Dixon lawnmower. She enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Kate is survived by her children: Jeff (Diane) Cole of Cuba City, WI and Caroline Cole of Fitchburg, WI; 6 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 sisters: Marian Timmerman and Anna Mae (Paul) Gisch; a brother, Fr. David Runde, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Melburn "Lefty" (Dec. 20, 1990); a daughter, Paula Beinborn; a sister, Regina Vosberg; and 2 brothers: Joe Runde and Delmar Runde. In lieu of flowers a Kate R. Cole Memorial Fund has been established.
