JoAnne was born on May 4, 1936 to Martin & Mildred (Lenstra) Kunkel in Kieler, WI. She married Harold J. Kruser on January 29, 1955 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kieler, WI. She worked as a daycare provider for many families for many years. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Immaculate Conception CCW, Jamestown Fire Auxiliary, Girl Scout Leader and Den Mother to Cub Scouts Pack #97. JoAnne enjoyed crocheting, gardening, playing euchre, baking "the BEST chocolate chip cookies", potato salad, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
JoAnne is survived by her husband, Harold; 5 sons: Steve (Ellen) Kruser of Onalaska, WI, Ron Kruser of Kieler, WI, Mark Kruser of Eau Claire, WI, Daniel (Jody) Kruser of Asbury, IA and Roger (Missy) Kruser of Kieler, WI; a daughter, Mary Beth (Dave) Crabill of Asbury, IA; 13 grandchildren: Nick (Jessica) Kruser, Nicole (Neil) Kennett, Ryan (Arlene) Kruser, Amelia (Jason) Ewoldt, Alex (fiancée Margaret) McCarthy, Jacob Hubanks, Joseph Kruser, Miranda (fiancée Jerry) Kruser, Allison Kruser, Kelly Crabill, Connor Crabill, Madison Kruser and Miracle Kruser;
6 great grandchildren: Nyomie, Jaxson, Lucy, Trever, Kaliesha and Adelynn; 4 brothers: Earl Kunkel, Edward (Pat) Kunkel, Martin (Jean) Kunkel and Randy (Kim) Kunkel; 4 sisters: Marlene (George) Schuster, Patsy (Bob) Tigges, Judy (Don) Takes and Cookie (Bill) Busch; along with many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters-in-law: Nancy Kunkel & Norma Kunkel and a brother-in-law, Roger Budden.
In lieu of plants & flowers a JoAnne J. Kruser Memorial Fund has been established.
The Kruser family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Stonehill Care Center and to Hospice of Dubuque for their kindness and compassion given to JoAnne and her family.
