Jeanette "Janet" L. Muller, 93, of East Dubuque, IL passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Saturday, July 25, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. (NOON) on Thursday, July 30th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI; with Fr. Joseph Bellamkonda officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Family & friends may call on Thursday, July 30th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Jeanette was born on March 22, 1933 to Isidore & Genevieve Muller. She married Bob Jansen on July 26, 1950. She operated "Mullers" in Dickeyville, WI with her parents for 20 years. Jeanette moved to East Dubuque, IL where she owned and operated The Safari Supper Club for 17 years. She worked for her son, Ron, running the bakery at Van's Liquor Store for 15 years. She loved going to stay with her daughter, Debbie in Arizona, where she held numerous jobs. Sadly, Debbie passed away in 1997. She also enjoyed her visits with her son, Ron and his wife, Donna after they moved to Arizona. Jeanette also looked forward to visits and conversations with her son, Bob and his wife, Tami, and her daughters, Diane with Bill, and Tracey with Dennis, along with all of the grandkids, especially when there was a game of euchre involved.

Since the St. Joseph Chapel in East Dubuque opened, Jeanette loved her Friday night hour every week along with her daughter, Diane. She would like to offer a special thanks to Diane for being her caretaker, driver for doctor visits and overnight guest, during her hospital stays. She loved hearing about and seeing pictures of her grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. Jeanette prayed the rosary daily and watched masses on T.V. when she wasn't able to go out. She prayed for her family and friends constantly. Jeanette made a lasting impression on everyone she met with her sense of humor, work ethic, and sincere empathy for others. She will be sadly missed by her friends, neighbors and mostly family.

Jeanette is survived by 5 children; Ron (Donna) Jansen of Arizona, Vickie (Al) Hollenbeck of Missouri, Diane (Bill) Muchow of Galena, IL, Bob (Tami) Jansen of Dubuque, IA and Tracey (Dennis) Lee of Platteville, WI; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; along by many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Alverna, a brother, Harvey, a daughter, Debbie and 2 granddaughters.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of Dubuque and to Haudenshield Funeral Home for their kindness, care and compassion shown to Jeanette's Family.
