The family later moved to Belmont, WI where Jeanette attended Bethel Grove Grade School and graduated from Belmont High School with the class of 1956. On September 8, 1956, Jeanette married Robert L. (Bob) Burbach in Cuba City, Wisconsin. They made their home on her husband's family farm in Georgetown. Besides being an active farm wife, Jeanette worked as a bookkeeper, fabric store clerk, and cook. At the age of 46,
Jeanette fulfilled a long time goal of becoming a licensed cosmetologist and worked several years as a hairstylist.

Jeanette was talented and creative in so many areas. She enjoyed sharing her skills with her daughters and others and was a patient teacher. Her many passions included sewing, quilting, creating dolls, drawing, painting and baking.

Jeanette was an avid animal lover, especially cats, she and her daughters nursed many a sick animal back to health where often the cat or dog made the Burbach farm its home! Jeanette enjoyed sharing her sewing skills by teaching others whether it was 4-H sewing for the Georgetown Boosters Club or adults through Southwest Technical College evening classes.

Later in life, she took up quilting and made a quilt for each of her nieces and nephews and several for her daughters. She made numerous quilt tops, receiving blankets and tied quilts for the Lutheran World Relief organization at the Faith Lutheran Church, where she was an active member for 58 years. Jeanette will be greatly missed by her loving family, many friends and neighbors.
