Jane M. Staskal, 83, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Epione Pavilion Nursing Home in Cuba City, WI. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 23rd at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI with Deacon Bill Bussan officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cuba City, WI. Friends may call on Wednesday, August 22nd from 4pm-7pm at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI and on Thursday, August 23rd from 9:30 a.m. till time of service at the funeral home.

Jane was born on June 1, 1935 to Meredith & Edna (Meyer) Slater in Iowa City, IA. She worked for over 29 years as a nurse's aide at Southwest Health Hospital & Nursing Home in Cuba City, WI. She married Greg P. Staskal on March 28, 1980 at the Untied Methodist Church in Cuba City, WI. Jane was a longtime resident of Cuba City, WI and a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. She enjoyed fishing, country music, camping in Bagley, WI, line dancing, a great bowler, many 200 games & tournaments, baking cookies & making afghans for her grandchildren; but most of all she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jane is survived by her husband, Greg of Cuba City, WI; 4 children: Ann Dunn of Hampton, GA, John (Vicki) Bray of Avoca, WI, Karen (Tad) Niemeyer of Georgetown, WI, Susan (Alan) Simon of Cuba City, WI; a step-daughter: Tina Staskal of Cuba City, WI; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Mary Ann Thompson & Joan Lee; 4 brothers: Terry, Danny, Tom & Jim Slater; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Paul Slater, a step-son, Shawn Staskal, a grandchild, Casey Bass and 2 brothers-in-law: Joseph Thompson & Frank Lee.
