James "Jim" E. Patterson, 86, of Hazel Green, WI passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025. A private family service will be held, with burial in the Hazel Green Cemetery in Hazel Green, WI. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI.

Jim was born October 15, 1939 to Charles & Elizabeth (Shelliam) Patterson in Hazel Green, WI. He was a graduate from Hazel Green High School and lifelong friends with, Pat Hillary. and enlisted in the US Air Force. He married Janet Cushman on July 13, 1963 in Livingston, WI. Jim farmed in his early life, then drove milk truck, sold trucks for Truck County, and then he went back to farming with his son, Bret. He enjoyed horses, golfing, trap shooting, winters in Florida, but most of all, he enjoyed time spent with family and friends.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jim is survived by 3 sons: Bret (Alice) Patterson, Dirk Patterson, both of Hazel Green, WI & Kevin Patterson of Eau Claire, WI; 2 grandchildren: Grace & Mya; a sister-in-law: Ruth Patterson; and a niece, Michelle Patterson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Janet (May 26, 2025), and 2 brothers: John & Alan Patterson.

In lieu of plants & flowers, a James "Jim" E. Patterson Memorial Fund has been established.
