Harriett "Hattie" A. Hoey, 84, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Thursday April 1, 2010 at the Southwest Health Center in Platteville, WI. A private family service will be held at a later date.

She was born on August 16, 1925, in Delhi, Iowa, daughter of Charles "Brick" and Juanita (Bartlett) Vesey. She married Francis J. Hoey of Dubuque, IA on March 2, 1947. Harriett was a homemaker, raising eight children. She was a resident in Southwest Health Center in Cuba City, WI for the last eleven years of her life. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, music, and going to the dog track. She loved slot machines and lottery tickets. Harriett was a loving mother and grandmother. She cherished the time she shared with her family. She will always be remembered for her sense of humor.

Surviving Harriett are four daughters, Connie Hoey, Peg (Don) Ahlstrom, Suzanne (Douglas) Farrey, and Holly (Kurt) Youngs; two sons, Dan (Deb) Hoey and Shawn Hoey; 22 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; one brother; and three sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sons, Dennis, Ed, and Francis Jr.; one brother; and four sisters.
