Harold J. Simmons, 84, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Southwest Health Center Nursing Home in Cuba City, WI. A private family burial will be held at a later date. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Harold was born on December 15, 1927 to Raymond & Hildred (Scadden) Simmons in Hazel Green, WI. He was a graduate of Hazel Green Highs School. He married Edith Darlene Kieslich on September 10, 1945 at the family farm in Hazel Green, WI. Harold worked as a salesman for Eustice Lumberyard in Cuba City, WI. Harold enjoyed baseball, basketball, football, bowling and time spent with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Harold is survived by his wife, Darlene of Cuba City, WI; a son, Lyle Simmons of Menominee Falls, WI; 6 grandchildren: Jessie Mullen, Sarah Mullen, Jacki Mullen, Stacy Welie, Melissa Simmons and Bryan Simmons; a sister, Joanne Hirst of Hazel Green, WI and cousin, Carol (Jim) Helbing of Hazel Green, WI. He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Donna Mullen. In lieu of flowers a Harold J. Simmons Memorial Funds has been established.
