Harland G. "Randy" Randall, 78, of Cuba City, WI, formerly of Boscobel, WI passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2013 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family. Services will be at 10:30am on Monday, August 26th at the St. Rose Catholic Church in Cuba City, WI with Father David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be at the St. Rose Cemetery where military honors will be accorded. Friends may call on Sunday, August 25th from 4pm-8pm at the St. Rose Catholic Church in Cuba City, WI and on Monday, August 26th from 9:30am until time of services at the church. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Harland was born on May 26, 1935 in Eagle Corner, WI to Glenwood & Elma (Persinger) Randall. He graduated from Boscobel High School in 1953, where he played football, basketball, baseball and ran track. He also was active in these sports while he served in the US Navy. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and was stationed on the carrier USS Siboney. He married Charlotte L. Timmerman on October 20, 1959. They moved to San Diego, CA in 1959 where he worked for the State of California Division of Highways. They returned to Cuba City, WI in 1971 and opened Randy's Café. He also worked at John Deere Dubuque Works until his retirement. He was a heart transplant recipient 22yrs ago. He was a hunter, fisherman and golfer. He was also active with the Rookie Golf Program at Cole Acres. He was an avid sports fan of the Wisconsin Badgers, Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers and PGA Golf. He was a member of the American Legions Post104 in Cuba City, WI. He also enjoyed woodworking and was an avid old car enthusiast. But most of all he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He was also known for his quick wit, sense of humor and comical stories; he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Harland is survived by his loving wife of over 53yrs., Charlotte; loving father to: daughter, Kelly Randall and son, David (Lynn) Randall and 4 grandchildren: Nathan, Devaen, Madison and Tyler; 2 sisters: Dorothy (Harold "Ham") Beinborn and Eleanor Freymiller; a brother, Ron Randall; and a sister-in-law: Donna Randall. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ralph, a sister Evelyn, a brother-in-law, Mac Freymiller and a sister-in-law, Beth Randall. In lieu of flowers a Harland G. "Randy" Randall Memorial Fund has been established.
