Gretchen Kvalheim, 96, of Cuba City, WI passed away at her home with her family by her side on Monday, March 3, 2025. A private family burial will be held at a later date. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Gretchen was born on March 21, 1928 to William & Verna (Peacock) Wimmer in Cuba City, WI. She married Norman Kvalheim on May 8, 1954 in Cuba City.

Gretchen worked as a secretary in her husband Norman's Cuba City law practice Kvalheim Law Office and took many trips to Poland to teach English. She was a member of the Grant County Legal Secretaries, Women of Faith Lutheran Church, and a Charter Member of Cole Acres Country Club.

Gretchen enjoyed reading, traveling, and family getaways to Devils Lake in Baraboo, WI, which was her happy place. In recent years, she enjoyed watching NCIS, the Packers, tasty meals, and just being with family at home. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Gretchen is survived by 4 sons: Kerry, Chris, Robert, and Kim; a brother, William Wimmer; along with nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norman (August 18, 2012), 2 sisters, Jean Isenberg and Margaret MacNeish, and a sister-in-law, Lenore Wimmer.
