Goldie Eggers, 84, of Hazel Green, WI passed away on Thursday October 14, 2010 at Lafayette Manor in Darlington, WI. Services will be 10:30am on Tuesday October 19, 2010 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Kieler, WI, with Father Bernie Rott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Monday October 18 from 4-8pm at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Kieler, WI and on Tuesday from 9:30am till time of service at the church. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Kieler, WI is serving the family.

Goldie was born on March 26, 1926 to Lawrence and Louisa (Wackershauser) Pickel in Potosi, WI. She married Edmund H. Eggers on September 4, 1946 at Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Dickeyville, WI. She worked as a cook for many years at the Kall Inn Supper Club in Fairplay, WI. Goldie enjoyed gardening, baking, fishing, an avid card player and time spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by four children: Cletus (JoAnn) Eggers of Hazel Green, WI, Louise (Greg) Andrews of Darlington, WI, Carolann (Dee) MacNaughton of Shullsburgs, WI and Ron (Linda) Eggers of Dickeyville, WI; 11 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; 4 step great-great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews; 4 sisters: Selma Marcue, Kay Wedig, Elvera Merritt, Lila Trickel; 2 brothers: Gerry Pickel and Larry Pickel, Jr.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Edmund, a son Donald, grandson David MacNaughton, great grandson Jordan Eggers, four brothers and three sisters.

In lieu of flowers a Goldie Eggers Memorial Fund has been established.
