Gerald "Jerry" B. Cruse, 71, of Hazel Green, WI, formerly of Benton, WI passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2014 at Ennoble Manor Care Center, Dubuque, IA. A graveside memorial service will be held at 11am on Sat. May 24th at the United Methodist Church Cemetery in Benton, WI with Rev. Calvin Hughes officiating. Military rites will be accorded at the cemetery by the Benton VFW #7896. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving this family. Jerry was born on February 3, 1943 to Burl & Edith (Trickel) Cruse in Benton, WI. He was a US Army Veteran. He worked as a machinist at A.Y. McDonald in Dubuque, IA. He enjoyed fishing, cruising the back roads, casinos and time spent with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Jerry is survived by his children: Lona Compton of Green Bay, WI, Lonnel Wilson of Gilbert, AZ, Bart (Jennifer)Cruse of Dubuque, IA and Kristi (special friend Brian Klein) Cruse of Hazel Green, WI; 2 sisters: Colleen(Donald) Negus of Janesville, WI and Carla (Ed) Stockel of Alva, FL; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; along with nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James. In lieu of flowers a Gerald "Jerry" B. Cruse Memorial Fund has been established.
