Obituary

Francis E. "Bud" Kieler, 97, of Kieler, WI passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City, WI. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30th at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Kieler, WI with Father Bernie Rott officiating. Burial will be in the Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery in Kieler, WI. Friends may call on Friday, December 29th from 3:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Kieler, WI and on Saturday, December 30th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at the Immaculate Conception Parish Center in Kieler, WI. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Francis was born on December 12, 1920 to Lawrence & Elizabeth (Kunkel) Kieler in Kieler, WI. He married Margaretta R. Muller on November 29, 1944 in Dickeyville, WI. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved sports like baseball, bowling and golf. He was a member of the Catholic Order of Foresters since 1945. He was a farmer, a Pride Seed Corn dealer, supervisor for ASC Office in Grant County for 15 years and served on the Board of Directors of PCA of Grant & Crawford County's for 15 years. He was also a field rep. for Vigortone Products Company for 11 years. In 1941, he organized a baseball team in Kieler and managed it for 12 years. He started his own business in Kieler, Kieler Feed & Seed Co., Inc. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Francis is survived by 3 daughters: Janet (Leo) Friederick of Dickeyville, WI, Joan (Gary) Studier of Rockford, IL and Bonita "Bonnie" (Steve) Maring of Kieler, WI; 2 sons: Gary (Peggy) Kieler and Frank Kieler, both of Kieler, WI; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Martin Kieler; along with nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Margaretta (March 30, 2010), 2 sisters, Emeline Schroeder & Celesta Busch, 4 brothers: Ollie, Ralph, John & Harold; a son-in-law, Leo Friederick and a granddaughter, Sarah Friederick.
