Eloise Lightcap, 83, of Hazel Green, WI passed away on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Ennoble Manor Care Center in Dubuque, IA. A memorial service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church in Hazel Green, WI with Father Cy Weisensel officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9am till time of service at the church. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Eloise was born on December 10, 1927 to Cyril & Augusta (Hoppenjan) Byrne in Cuba City, WI. She attended Mercy Nursing School and became a registered nurse for 50 years. She married Raymond L. Lightcap, Jr. on June 10, 1950 in Hazel Green, WI. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, crosswords, an avid card player and spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Eloise is survived by a daughter: Pam (Donald) Stark of Galena, IL; 4 sons: Raymond (Cheryl) Lightcap III of Stone Mountain, GA, Roger Lightcap of Denver, CO, Mark Lightcap and Ron (Dana) Lightcap, both of Hazel Green, WI; 1 stepdaughter: Anita (Russell) Grimm of Ashland, OR; 2 sisters: Jean March of Denver, CO and Beth James of Dubuque, IA; 2 brothers: Pat (Sharon) Byrne of Minneapolis, MN and Cyril (Sally) Byrne, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond (November 8, 2007), 4 sisters: Sally and Ann McCabe, Mary Ellen Wilkinson and Susan Byrne; 2 brothers: Richard Byrne and James Byrne. In lieu of flowers a Eloise J. Lightcap Memorial Fund has been established. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Ennoble Manor Care Center and to Hospice of Dubuque for the care and kindness shown to Eloise and her family.
