Ella Marion Unbehaun, 90, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City, WI. Services will be held at 10:30am on Monday, May 4th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI with Rev. Heidi Loomis officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cuba City, WI. Friends may call from 4pm-8pm on Sunday, May 3rd at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI and on Monday, May 4th after 9:30am until time of service at the funeral home. Marion was born on November 14, 1924 at home in Texhoma, Oklahoma, daughter of Cecil & Lucy (Clark) Fry. She was raised on a farm in Oklahoma, until she was 10 years old then moved to Wisconsin, where her family continued to farm. She was the oldest of 3 girls and was the one who worked in the fields and assisted milking with her Dad. She married Francis Unbehaun on September 1, 1939 in Dubuque, IA. Together they farmed for over 13 years. Marion never held a job outside her home. Her most important job was taking care and making a home for her husband and 10 beautiful and healthy children that God had entrusted to her care. Marion enjoyed working outdoors, gardening, canning, picking wild berries, mowing lawn, making quilts & embroidering and spending time with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Marion is survived by 9 of her 10 children: Jean Horkan of Lime Ridge, WI, Roy (Linda) Unbehaun of Lime Ridge, WI, Carol (Don) Brown of Lanark, IL, Robert (Debbie) Unbehaun of Shullsburg, WI, Joan (Dick) Peck of Pickerington, OH, Sharon (Del) Tranel of Cuba City, WI, Dennis (Ruth) Unbehaun of Darlington, WI, Steve (Chris) Unbehaun of Shullsburg, WI and Mary (Frank) Blahnik of Cuba City, WI; 28 Grandchildren; 46 Great Grandchildren with 1 on the way; 13 Great Great Grandchildren with 2 on the way, 1 sister, Virginia (Raymond) Brandt of Hillpoint, WI, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Francis (January 11, 1997), a sister, Ila Caanan, a son, Jerry Unbehaun, a granddaughter, Kelli Peck, a great grandson, Grant Granger, brother-in-law, Leonard Caanan and a son-in-law, Pat Horkan. In lieu of flowers an Ella Marion Unbehaun Memorial Fund has been established.
