Elizabeth A. Short, 81, of Cassville, WI, formerly of San Bernardino, CA, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024 in Platteville, WI. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19th at Rolling Hills Church in Platteville, WI.

Elizabeth was born on March 6, 1943 to Francis & Helen (Resinger) Deaver in Erie, PA. She married the love of her life Elroy Short in the late 1970's.

Elizabeth's smile was contagious and always lit up a room. She enjoyed crocheting and tinkering, but most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Gale (Bobby) Hernandez of Platteville, WI; daughter-in-law Shelly Kutterna (George II) of Cassville; Granddaughter Jessica Hernandez of Milwaukee; Grandsons, George Kutterna III (Danielka) of Stoughton, WI;  Matthew Hernandez (Lindsey) of Platteville, WI; Andrew Hernandez of Mountain View, CA; Greg Kutterna of Dodgeville; and great grandchildren Avery Hernandez, George Kutterna IV, Kambree Hernandez, Knox and Everliegh Kutterna; and Brother, Theodore Deaver, of Dalton, GA.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Francis & Helen Deaver; Husband, Elroy Short; and Son, George Kutterna II; and 3 brothers and 1 sister.

In lieu of plants & flowers an Elizabeth A. Short Memorial Fund has been established.
