Eleanor A. Bennett, 84, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Epione Pavilion in Cuba City, WI. Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, March 19th at the

Eleanor was born on January 8, 1934 to Ervin & Harriet (Fawcett) March in New Diggings, WI. She married Louis Wayne Bennett on March 23, 1956 at the Primitive Methodist Church in New Diggings, WI. Together they farmed in rural Darlington area and later farmed in rural Cuba City, WI. She also taught as a school teacher at the racetrack school in New Diggings, WI and at a country school of rural Darlington, WI. Later she worked as a dietary aide at Southwest Health Center in Cuba City, WI. Eleanor enjoyed crocheting, reading, word puzzles, gardening, blue grass & country music, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Eleanor is survived by 4 children: Jerry (Jackie) Bennett of Cuba City, WI, Joyce (Randy) Christen of San Antonio, TX, Donald Bennett of Stoughton, WI and Dean Bennett of Racine, WI; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 2 step-great grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Karen) March of Shullsburg, WI; 2 sisters: Carol (Bob) McLearnon of Whitewater, WI and Donna Garwell of Monroe, WI; 3 brothers-in-law: Bill (Deb) Bennett, Daryle (Vickie) Bennett and Leonard Bennett; a sister-in-law, DeAnne Bennett; along with nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Louis Wayne (Feb. 25, 2015); a brother, Donald; a grandson, Shea Christen; mother-in-law & father-in-law, James & Ellie (Lutes) Bennett and 2 brothers-in-law: Nathan Garwell & Clarence Bennett.
In lieu of plants & flowers an Eleanor A. Bennett Memorial Fund has been established.
