Gus was born on April 11, 1933 to Delvan & Irene (Wiederholt) Timmerman on the family farm in rural Cuba City, WI, where he lived most of his life. He married Alvina E. Wehrspann on February 20, 1960 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Dubuque, IA. Gus worked for 12 years at John Deere Dubuque Works, but farming is what he enjoyed best. He & Alvina purchased their first farm in 1967. He was proud of his Rotaflo milking parlor and would invite students from UW-Platteville to come and visit to see its operation. Gus enjoyed fishing, going on cruises with Alvina, wintering in Texas and summers spent up north, but most all, he enjoyed time spent with his family, grandchildren and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Gus is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Alvina; a daughter, Peggy Zickert of Dickeyville, WI; 5 sons: Dennis Timmerman of Cuba City, WI, Doug (Gretchen) Timmerman of Belleville, WI, Bruce (Kristine) Timmerman and Allen Timmerman both of Cuba City, WI & Brian Timmerman of Madison, WI; several grandchildren & great-grandchildren; a sister, Jeanette (Faber) Runde of Kieler, WI; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Anthony "Tony" Timmerman (June 8, 2008) and 2 sisters: Anita (Bernard "Bernie") Runde and Mary Ann (Phil) Runde.
