Obituary

Eldon L. "Robin" Stluka, 59, of Potosi, WI, formerly of New Diggings, WI passed away on Friday December 25, 2009 at the home of his daughter, Terry in Platteville, WI. Services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday December 29, 2009 at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI, with burial in the Shawnee Cemetery in New Diggings, WI. Friends may call on Monday December 28, 2009 from 3:00-8:00 p.m. at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI and on Tuesday December 29th from 9:00 a.m. till time of service at the funeral home.

Robin was born on August 4, 1950 to Thomas and Maleta (Slaght) in Hazel Green, WI. He attended the Benton schools and later returned to get his GED in 2000. He married Christine K. Nielsen on September 27, 1975 in Nashua, IA. They lived in the Benton/New Diggings area for 20 years, the Potosi area for 14 years and previous to his illness he worked for Rapid Die and Molding in Cassville, WI. Robin enjoyed hunting, fishing, and in his younger years playing softball and later watching with his grandchildren. He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and a Pittsburgh Steelers. Most of all, he enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Robin is survived by his wife Christine Stluka of Potosi, WI; four children, Karl (Carrie) Stluka of Portage, MI, Terry (Andy) Malliet of Platteville, WI, Sarah (Brett) Rogers of Cuba City, WI and Shawn (Angie) Stluka of Benton, WI; three brothers, Dennis (Bonnie) Stluka, Gary (Marge) Stluka, Kevin (Mary Ann) Germaine; four sisters, Donna Stluka (fiancée Butch Ubersox), Bonnie (Kenneth) Curran, Pam Alt and Patricia (Mike) Frank; thirteen grandchildren, Clayton, Caleb, Skye, Dakota, CJ, Payton, Summer, Brody, Zoe, Halle, Ries, Tatiana and Brennon, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law Ronnie Alt.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kim Leimy with Grant County Hospice. In lieu of flowers an Eldon L. "Robin" Stluka memorial fund has been established.
