Eileen T. Olson, 87 of Cuba City, WI passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, June 26, 2015. A private family service will be held at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI. Burial will be in the St. Rose Cemetery in Cuba City, WI. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Eileen was born on August 28, 1927 to Charles & Margaret "Maggie" (Linden) Faherty, one of 18 children. She married Clarence W. "Ole" Olson on June 1, 1944 in Kearns Air Force Base in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was a cook at the Village Bar and Kall Inn for many years. She enjoyed researching her family history and working in her yard, McDonald's, miniature golf and sleepovers on the porch were some of the her favorite things to do with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Surviving are her four daughters: Patricia (Paul) Goffinet-Luna of Canton, IL, Jane (Karl) Hirsbrunner of Richland Center, WI, Donna Graney of Cuba City, WI and Diane (Steve) Troester of Dubuque, IA; daughter-in-law Julie (Doug Coons) Olson of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; 15 grandchildren: Erik(Andrea) Olson of Eagan, MN, Chad (Megan) Olson of Waukesha, WI, Kelly (Mike) Dickson of Boston, MA, Mark (Marcia) Goffinet of Ankeny, IA, David Goffinet of Surprise, AZ, Thomas (Sara) Goffinet of Dubuque, IA, Korrinna (Scott) Glass of Cherry Valley, IL, Kori Merrill of Kansasville, WI, Stephanie Hirsbrunner (Mike) Meisen of Albion, WI, Vincent (Kelly) Graney of Platteville, WI, Nicole (Don) Delaney of Plover, WI, Randi (Mike) Snowberry of New Franken, WI, Kelsie (Jake) Miller of West Salem, WI, Raymond (Ana Bot) Graney of McFarland, WI and Shawn (Miriah Roath) Troester of Dubuque, IA; 26 great grandchildren: Aidan & Charlotte Olson, Camden & Carsten Olson, Allison Dickson (Mike) McGuire, Collin Dickson, Mason & McKenna Goffinet, Janelle (Jake) Diehl, Jackson Goffinet, William & Cole Glass, Maegan & Reid Merrill, Emil Meisen, Anica, Ava & Emma Graney, Andrian, Brennan & Lauren Delaney, Tanner, Brielle & Kaylyn Snowberry, Marissa Miller and Chris Jones; 3 great-great grandchildren: Bradley & Alena Diehl and Finn McGuire; 5 brothers: Harold, Ralph (Joan), Joe (Deloras) Faherty all of Platteville, WI, Keith (Joan) Faherty of Brookfield, WI and Patrick (Alice) Faherty of Columbus, MS; 4 sisters: Pauline Mishefski of Milwaukee, WI, Rosemary (William) Baker of Platteville, WI, Karen (Bernard) Eastlick of West Chester, PA and Barbara (Dennis) Young of Reedsburg, WI; a sister-in-law, Shirley Faherty of Platteville, WI; along with many nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clarence (August 13, 1990), a son, Gary Olson (December 28, 1989), son-in-law Stan Graney, 2 brothers, Charles and Francis; 6 half brothers and sisters: Paul, Maynard, Virginia Riley, Florence Gardner, Mary Morrissey and Charles Faherty the II. In lieu of flowers Eileen's family requests that all memorial donations can be made to Hospice of Dubuque or St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. The family would like to thank the staff at Cuba City Medical Associates, Christie, Mary and Jim for their kind care of Mom through the years and also thank Hospice of Dubuque.
