Dorothea E. Gustafson, 78, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 5 ^th at the United Methodist Church in Cuba City, WI with Pastor Hee-Kwon Jung officiating. Burial will be in the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Cuba City, WI. Friends may call on Friday, January 4 ^th from 3:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI and on Saturday, January 5 ^th from 9:30a.m. – 10:45 a.m. at the church.

Dorothy was born on August 28, 1940 to Herman & Elfrieda (Mixdorf) Deackman in Elgin, IL. She married Ralph B. Gustafson on March 6, 1971 in Hampshire, IL. After retiring from milking cows on their farm, she worked as a personal care worker out for Homeward Bound, Inc in Lancaster, WI and later as a cook for Gray's Nursing Home in Platteville, WI and Shullsburg Nursing Home in Shullsburg, WI. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, baking, farm & toys shows, her 2 trips to Hawaii, watching Jeopardy and Price is Right and music by Elvis Presley; but most of all, she enjoyed time spent with her family and friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Ralph; a brother, Edwin Deackman of Huntly, IL; along with nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Marjorie and an infant brother, Wilbert.

In lieu of plants & flowers a Dorothea E. Gustafson Memorial Fund has been established.
