Donna J. Honshel, 83, of Cuba City, WI passed away on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Southwest Health Center in Platteville, WI. Services will be at 11:30am on Saturday, October 19th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI with Rev. Calvin Hughes officiating. A private family burial will be at a later date in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Cuba City, WI. Friends may call from 9:30 am until time of service on Sat. Oct. 19th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cuba City, WI. Donna was born on April 30, 1930 to Lloyd & Jenny (Cottingham) Gaber in Galena, IL. Donna attended Galena High School and married William "Bill" Honshel on July 30, 1949 in Galena, IL. She enjoyed camping, traveling, visiting with friends and family and was an animal lover; she loved her dog Joey. Donna was a kind and caring person who will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Donna is survived by her husband, Bill of Cuba City, WI; a daughter, Tammy Honshel of Cuba City, WI; 2 sons: Steve (Valerie) Honshel of Platteville, WI and Kevin Honshel of Benton, WI; 6 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Mary Lou (Lawrence) Cook of Galena, IL; a brother, Terry (Lynn) Gaber of Galena, IL, along with many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd & Jenny; a step mother, Amy Gaber; a son, Timothy and a brother, Keith. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Dubuque Humane Society.
