Donald "Donnie" C. Peebles, 88, of Benton, WI passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6th   at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI; with Fr. Tom Kelley officiating. Burial with military honors accorded will be held at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Cuba City, WI. Family and friends may call on Friday, March 6th   from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Donnie was born on March 23, 1937, to Francis & Bernice (Segerstrom) Peebles in Benton, WI. He married Jeannie 1959. His second marriage was to Eleanor 1965. He worked for many years at John Deere Dubuque Works and retired at 53 years old, along with operating Peebles Bar in Benton, WI, and later worked as a driver for Tri State Auto Auction in Cuba City, WI. He was a US Air Force Veteran and a member of the UAW Local #94 Dubuque, the Elks Club, Benton VFW, Apache Junction, Kissing Campers in Colorado and Good Sam's Camping Group. He was extremely proud the availability to take the Honor Flight in 2023. Donnie owned over 100 vehicles, owned 23 houses, loved his animals, demolition derby, had a great sense of humor and made many friends over the years. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Donnie is survived by 2 sons: Donald "Donnie Jo" (Anne) Peebles of West Bend, WI & David Peebles of Campbellsport, WI; 3 siblings: Margaret Forster of West Des Moines, IA, Virginia (Bill) Wachter of Roscoe, IL & Robert "Bob" (Jackie) Peebles of Colorado; 2 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife, Jeannie in 2009, 2nd wife Eleanor in 2000, stepson, Tom Negas, and a brother-in-law, Gary Forster.

In lieu of plants & flowers, a Donald "Donnie" C. Peebles Memorial Fund has been established.
