Donald A. Humphrey, 55, of Cuba City, WI, formerly of Leadmine, WI passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at his home. A memorial service will be held at 11:30am on Wednesday September 21 at the Benton Bible Church in Benton, WI with Rev. Bob Bennett officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9:30am till time of service at the church. Burial will be at the Primitive Methodist Cemetery in Leadmine, WI. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family. Donnie was born on December 31, 1955 to Francis & Marilyn (Redfearn) Humphrey in Cuba City, WI. He was a graduate of Benton High School. He spent most of his working career in the service industry, bartending at the WigWam. Working in some of the finest hotels in the country; Sheraton in Madison, WI, the Hilton in Texas, he was the former co-owner of the Hide-Away Supper Club in Leadmine, WI. He loved to cook, go to the casinos, work on his computer, enjoyed his plants and family gatherings. Don had a gift working with people he served as a bartender; he was friendly, pleasant type to share a good conversation with. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Don is survived by his parents, Francis Humphrey, IA & Marilyn Humphrey of Belmont, WI; 4 brothers: Francis "Butch" (Kay) Humphrey of Magnolia, TX, Jerry (Mary) Humphrey of New Glarus, WI, Dave Humphrey of Hazel Green, WI and Curt (Jackie Carter) Humphrey of Calamine, WI; 4 sisters: Judy (Harry) Gurno of Briggs, TX, Sandy & Ingemar Lamberg of Walworth, WI, Shelly (Rob Reynolds) Humphrey of Fennimore, WI and Sheri (John Schneider) Humphrey of Belmont, WI; along with many nieces and nephews and many aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. In lieu of flowers a Donald A. Humphrey Memorial Fund has been established.
