Obituary

Dennis G. Biddick, 76, of Hazel Green WI & Fort Myers Beach, FL, passed away on Thursday, April 16th in Fort Myers Beach, FL following a brief illness. A memorial service with military honors accorded will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9th at the Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI, with Fr. Ronald Kreul, OP officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date. Family & friends may call on Saturday, May 9th from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. The Haudenshield Funeral Home & Crematory in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Dennis was born on December 8, 1949 to Charles & Dorothy (Halverson) Biddick in Dodgeville, WI. He was a graduate from Hazel Green High School and enlisted and serviced in the US Navy from 1968 – 1971. He married Mary Kay Duffy on September 6, 1975 in Hazel Green, WI. He worked for over 30 years at John Deere Dubuque Works, retiring in 2007. Dennis had a love for old classic cars, going to car shows, and watching any kind of races. For more than 20 years, during the winter months, he and Mary enjoyed their home away from home in Fort Myers Beach, Florida. They cherished time spent with friends, especially pontoon boat rides and deep-sea fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Dennis is survived by his 2 children: Niki (Adam) Bennett and their children: Cora, Abbie & Chase of Deerfield, WI, and Mike (Heidi) Biddick and their children: Ava & Ella of Poynette, WI; 3 siblings: Jeff (Margie) Biddick of Eldridge, IA, DeeAnn (Terry) Speaker of Janesville, WI and Landa (Judy) Biddick of Florida; In-laws: John (Sheila) Duffy of Bloomington, MN, Jim (Valarie) Duffy of Mason City, IA, Barb (Terry) Robinson of Broken Arrow, OK, David (Peggy) Duffy of Arizona & Tom (Julie) Duffy of Naples, FL; along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (June 10, 2024), his parents, and a brother, Bruce (Nancy) Biddick.

In lieu of plants & flowers, a Dennis G. Biddick Memorial Fund has been established.
