Delpha P. Toney, 75, of Platteville, WI, formerly of Hazel Green, WI passed away on Wednesday June 2, 2010 at her home. There is no public visitation. A private family memorial service will be held on Saturday June 5, 2010 at the Hazel Green Cemetery, with Pastor Calvin Hughes will be officiating. The Haudenshield Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Cuba City, WI is serving the family.

Delpha was born on October 20, 1935 to Virgil and Edith (Dalton) Chadwick in Barnum, WI. She was a chef for many years at area restaurants. She was an artist and made many beautiful paintings, making clothes for porcelain dolls, and all of God's gifts from her children to the flowers in the garden. In 2001, she moved to Platteville, WI and enjoyed the rest of the Untied States throughout her life.

Delpha is survived by her mother Edith Chadwick of Hazel Green, WI; three sons: Vernon Bryson of Des Moines, IA, David (Jackie) Bryson and Virgil Bryson both of Hazel Green, WI; a daughter: Betty Nelson of Hazel Green, WI; a sister Nancy Becker of Hazel Green, WI; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father Virgil, a daughter Rose Proto (2002) and a sister Bonnie.

In lieu of flowers a Delpha P. Memorial Fund has been established.
